Director for Public Prosecutions Visits Thailand.

Bangkok, 9th September 2011

Kenya's successes in the prosecution of suspected pirates a long th Indian Ocean. This came during a visit to the Kingdom of THailand by a delegation led the Director For Public Prosections (DPP), Keriako Tobiko. The two countries agreed to continue their close collaboration in the fight against the menance that has plugged the trade route along the Indian Ocean.

Permanent Secretaries from the Agriculture Sector visit Thailand.

Bangkok, 16th August 2011

A delegation of Four Permanent Secretaries from the Agriculture Sector made a visit to the Kingdom of Thailand. The delegation consisted of the Permanent Secretary(PS) for Fisheries, Prof. Mucheni Ntiba, the PS for Lands, Dorothy Angote, that of Livestock Development, Ken Lusaka and the PS for Forestry and Wildlife, Wa Mwachai.

The visit of the Permanent Secretaries was part of a high level exchange visits as per the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the two countries. The two countries agreed to continue exploring opportunities for further collaboration in the developmentof the Agriculture sector.

Kenya responds to the ICC over President Bashir's visit

NAIROBI, 29 AUGUST 2010:The Government of Kenya notes with great concern the attempt of the pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to refer the matter of the presence of President Omar Al-Bashir's presence in Kenya to the UN Security Council as well as unfortunate statements attributed to some UN Security Council Members with regard to the presence of President Omar Al-Bashir of Sudan in Kenya on 27th August, 2010.. Hon. Wetang'ula holds talks with visiting Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Moses Wetang'ula today the 18th of June 2010 held talks with the visiting Thailand Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E Kasit Piromya in his office. H.E Kasit is leading a Thai delegation to the Kenya/Thailand joint commission on bilateral cooperation (JCC) which was convened in Nairobi on 17-06-2010.Click here to read more....

STATEMENT ON OFFICIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS IN KENYA

Bangkok, 10th October 2010

In accordance with the New COnstitution Chapter 2, Article 9, Section 3, there are only three (3) National Public Holidays in the COuntry:-

  1. Madaraka Day, June 1st
  2. Mashujaa Day, 20th October
  3. Jamhuri Day (Independence Day), 12th December
Religious Holidays such as Idd-Ul-Fitr, Christmas and Easter will be observed as per the relevant Act of Parliament.
